As if we didn’t have enough housing shortage in this country FFS. Start deporting the failed asylum applicants pronto.

Has the UK actually managed to send anyone to Rwanda yet? When they started the scheme it was all tied up in the courts.

The problem is taking 40k people who don’t qualify for refugee status so that America can achieve its foreign policy goals of militarising Europe and fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian.
So the rwanda plan is working?
Housing crisis, uncontrolled immigration and then taking in loads of refugees from Ukraine on top of it. That’s the issue. Not UK fault they have all the same problems as we do on a much worse scale
The problem isn’t necessarily too many asylum seekers, it’s that we’re taking too long to deal with them.
We should recruit retired judges to form emergency asylum tribunal panels, where claims are assessed within the first week, claimants with no legitimate claim to asylum removed immediately, and an appeal to a secondary tribunal done out of country.
There is absolutely no reason people from countries like Georgia and South Africa should be clogging up the system for years and leaving people genuinely in need of shelter stuck in the system.
There are people claiming asylum here who could be deported on the evening they arrive as their claim has absolutely no basis, but who end up appealing for years and years and are then let stay because they’re here so long.
We should also introduce legislation that anyone who entered Ireland illegally is automatically ineligible for citizenship, even if they are eventually granted refugee status.
Ireland needs to grow a pair we have legitimate excuses for not letting in anymore and its nothing to do with fukin rasicm stop being slaves to this word for fuk sake . What about our own that work hard pay taxes just to sleep in a hotel because he can’t find a place to rent while this’s why well educated and skilled are leaving this country, our government has sold itself officially its not standing up for us

Are they running background checks on ukraines refugees like say syrian. We dont want bogeys getting in among the genuine for security issues.

Ireland’s open door policy and turn key housing for migrants was advertised for months. Now they’re saying they can’t honour this and are blaming the UK 🤣
