I remember when I was a kid and we went on vacation to Italy they always had those sports talk shows with a couple of old men discussing football while the camera constantly filmed the silent models sitting there just to look nice, not contributing anything. Are those shows still a thing?
What I’m trying to say is, that in sports that are considered “masculine” female reporters or even fans are often not welcome. I support my local football team and often hear things like “you’re here, because you want to look at athletic young guys” (there are easier ways to do that without having to watch a shitty game while it snows) or “you’re just here, because your man takes you to the game” (it’s actually the other way around).
Some “fans” are afraid to let women in and try to scare them away by attacking them.

In that case I (24M) was groped earlier this year by an old man. Completely out of nowhere. I was cycling in a forest uphill and another man on a bicycle “pushed” me forward. He said while laughing: “I’ll help you”. It was rather hard to get it that shock out of my head. It popped up in my head at random moments…
Must be because of the culture in the country where they come from.
