Old School…still has 5p rate Tags:ireland 4 comments The first ever house I rented had one of those, it took the big 2p coins. I thought I was so posh that the house had a phone, christ I’m old. Oh and I also remember phoning Live Aid in 85 to pledge a donation on one of those phones from the local pub! Hours spent filing bits of metal to fit. The operator always knew by the sound that they were fake. We eventually picked the lock of one. Pockets of 10p’s would make shite of our trousers. My mam has been looking for an age trying to buy one of these. Would you consider selling it or know where I can look? My ma still has a fully functioning rotary telephone in the hall Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
