Government support to Ukraine

  1. It may be worth to mention that the support by *EU institutions* is payed for by national governments as well. Otherwise comparisons with non-EU countries might get distorted.

  2. Why the fuck is the UK contributing far more than other countries in Europe? I can appreciate the eastern states doing their part with due to their GDP, population and refugees. Where is everyone else though? Why is the US dwarfing the combined EU totals?

  3. I will copy this chart and bring it out whenever Western Europeans ask why the former Eastern bloc loves the Americans and British so much. The fact of the matter is that when shit hits the fan you can trust them. The same simply can’t be said about Germany and France.

  4. That’s just the disclosed support to Ukraine, IK France doesn’t disclose anything like the Ceasar artillery was only disclosed when videos of Ukrainian soldier using them where posted on the internet.

Most of the other countries don’t tell what they are giving and how they are helping. so this graph is kinda false, because it only commitment and not the actual donation.

You can see [here](https://www.ifw-kiel.de/topics/war-against-ukraine/ukraine-support-tracker/) the EU disbursed **more money** than the USA to Ukraine.

  5. Huh. I hadn’t realized that Brussels had had that much of an impact directly. Thought that it was more-tilted towards member states acting directly.
