I’m a bit confused. Was the door opened for him or did break in?
I must be missing something but this seems like a cut and dry self defense case to me…everything I’ve read acknowledge the other other guy as the aggressor, who broke into his house via smashing a window with a rock…one stab is not unreasonable under the circumstances he showed restraint if anything, unless as I said I’m missing something?
There must be more to this? It sounds like a case of self defence?
This came to court a couple of months back, it was alleged at the time that the knife was cleaned or tampered with after the assault by the accused & or his family.
They’ll have to find someone else for the goblin chief in the next LOTR movie.
So the judge made the jury choose between murder and manslaughter on the idea that it’s a fact that the defendant used too much force?
Irish law says you can use appropriate force, which a single stab against a guy trying to cave your skull in with a rock seems to apply?
Madness.
And how the fuck is Dylan Jones considered a credible witness? A known scummer currently serving 7 years for breaking into a blind woman’s house and robbing her.
Also makes me wonder about the Joe Joyce case and verdict recently.
3 men came to his house with weapons to attack him, he fought them off and one got killed. Life for murder he got.
This shit is insane and above all ,tragic.
The fact that this guy used a knife on an unarmed man immediately tells me he is a scumbag.
