Lovely celebration of culture during the main 12th July parade yesterday as bandsmen sing “I would rather be a Paki than a Taig.” The band has been invited onto @ClaireByrneLive to perform this & other songs including “Up to our knees in fenian blood”

RTE will be enjoying it no doubt
That’s nice. They’ll get another day out in the garb.
In Cork back in the day we used to sing “I’d rather be a paki than a Dub” lol. A United Ireland will be the biggest kick up the hole in the history of the world for those fucking cunts when it happens 😉
I think the biggest kick in the hole they could get is that normal people ignore them , that sends a message to these bigots that we as a society are not interested in any of ur crap your spouting out of ya mouths . And within 10 to 15 years the orange order and the 12th parades will be on its knees with the lack in interest
That just sounds like a really weird statement to make, even if you take away the obvious racism.
“Pakis” according the last NI census male up a grand total of 0.06% of the population. It’s doubtful most of these people have even met one.
I’ve (thankfully) only ever seen taig written down and I always assumed that it was supposed to be a butchered phonetic spelling of Tadhg. But the fine lads in this video seemed to be pronouncing it like “teeg”. What’s going on there?
Claire Byrne is watching this wondering how she’ll spin this into another anti SF special.
