I bought a water bottle and some sports hydration tablets as I was going to be spending Sunday Monday and Tuesday providing an emergency service to London, however having just learned preparing in this way makes me a coward I am seriously beginning to rethink my career choice

On another note, as long as you have electricity you can DIY a basic air conditioner with a desktop fan and a bucket.
If you have an insulated ice chest that’s even better, but they aren’t as common back in the UK from what I recall.
Something like this can be very quick and easy to build and makes a huge difference to room temperature. Just Google DIY air conditioner and you’ll find lots of variations.
I hope he gets a nasty case of sunburn.
However, the weather warning is absolutely useless to those of us who will still have to go to work outdoors doing manual labour for the duration.
