UK Covid infections soar by almost 30% in a week

  1. We need to bring back masks indoors and strongly consider bringing them back outside. Recruit more Covid marshals and wait for the updated vaccines. Until then be aware and keep your distance.

  2. Normalise working from home and I reckon you cut out a lot odld unnecessary f2f interaction. The only covid occurrences I hear now are office related

  3. Nobody seems to care anymore. Every day on the news, it’s drummed into us that we’re now in a “post-Covid” period, and everywhere I go in public I seem to be the only person still wearing a mask.

We’re going to continue in perpetuity with these massive waves of infection, new variants, and ever more cases of Long Covid removing people from the workforce, until we acknowledge that the current situation is unsustainable. That doesn’t have to mean a return to lockdowns, but clearly some sort of additional measures are needed to reduce spread.

  4. Oh no, not the cases!! Sore throat will be the bane of our civilization.

Looks like someone out there is still not done milking money. Either that or they know a massive unrest and protests will happen before winter and they want to use that sore throat to implement some kind of restrictions to stay in power and delegalize protests.

  5. It’s odd, I have covid at the moment (WfH), my daughter caught it from her teacher. In the same week however my dad and his partner caught covid (they live 200 miles away and have had no contact) and one of my friends (who live 250 miles away, again no contact with them) also have covid in their house! It must be absolutely rife!

  6. If we just went back to wearing face masks and using hand sanitiser this wouldn’t be an issue at all.

  7. Things will never be the same again, more needs to be done though to assist the health service otherwise it will collapse before the year is out.
