Defence spending boost confirmed but doubt cast over several key reform proposals

  1. So great, we’re going to spend an extra €400 million on weapons and soldiers when they’ve never been needed in the past century.

Meanwhile in reality we’re in the middle of a housing crisis, with petty crime and scumbaggery at all time high that needs more resources devoted to addressing it, we have doctors leaving the country at an alarming rate, public transport overcrowding gets ignored and Metro North is inevitably going to get delayed/cancelled with a million excuses.

    What an absolute joke.

  2. Great to see, however rising to an extra 500 million in 6 years time doesn’t sound like a lot does it? Is there a separate increase in capital spending, or is that included in the 500 million?
