Me and my friends are visiting Ljubljana next saturday/Sunday and we have some questions:

1. Is it a good idea to go to a public laundry saloon to do our laundry for the stay? We will be camping and need some fresh clothes. Any recommended stores?

2. We are planning on buying some weed. Is Metelkova a good place to start looking? Also, if you know someone who sells, tell me on telegram: https://t.me/4915231987747

3. We are on a budget but would like to see some of the culture in the two days we have. Any recommendations for sightseeing? We enjoy chilling at places where you have a scenic view and we like historic places etc.

4. What are the most exciting museums you can think of? We especially would like to know more about the Yugoslavian (not Serbian, goddamn it, guess I should smoke less) history of the country or interactive museums…

Edit: removed most of the dumb shit this post had to offer, sry for triggering y’all with my ignorance (Confusing Yugoslavia with Serbia 🥴)

can’t change the title tho…

  1. >We especially would like to know more about the Serbian history of the country

Hahaha I don’t understand how it can be that nobody has been triggered yet.

  2. 1. No idea about this one, I wash my clothes at home, but you ought to find smth. For buying we got the normal things- H&M, Zara are both in the city centre, for anything else you will have to go away from the centre and use a bus (or walk, Ljubljana ain’t that big).
    2. Metelkova can be really sketchy with weed, i mean theres like a 50/50 chance you get good shit for a fair price or a really bad batch for a shit price from what I’ve heard. Also have no experience buying there myself, its just a part of town that looks rather normal during the day. Its very much artsy.
    3. Depending where you are from, of course, but Ljubljana is not expensive. Even on a budget you’re def good imo. For a scenic view my number 1 would just be the castle, you can also get some nice views from Rožnik (local hill/park slapped in the middle of the city) if you know where to go (can show you if you wish, Im free on sunday, dm if youre down, im chill haha). If we naming just chill places without the views, Tivoli park is more than perfect, especially if you know the spots. Historic places are all over Ljubljana, especially the city centre.
    4. I’d say go see Museum of Illusions if you like interactivity or Hiša Eksperimentov (more made for children, but could still be fun times). Otherwise National museum of Slovenia is the biggest one, City museum of Ljubljana, Gallery Cukrarna, National museum of contemporary history (my favourite for that yugoslavian history itch of yours😂) are all recommended. If you like you should visit Plečnik House, a really famous slovenian architect, helped with Prague’s Castle for example and a lot of things in Ljubljana are his designs.

If you wish to know some details on smth just dm, i dont charge, i like to talk about my city haha. Might just know the answer to your question.
