“Paul Urey, who had been captured by the Russian military in the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in eastern Ukraine, allegedly died on Sunday at the age of 45 “due to illness and stress”.”
If that’s the guy I think it is i vaguely remember his mum on the news saying he was a type 1 diabetic. He wasn’t there fighting, he was an aid worker
Awful news if true, DPR/LPR should be labeled as terrorist groups
And our Foreign Secretary is currently distracted with her leadership campaign.
He was an aid worker being used for political leverage to legitimise an illegal organisation who want to be recognised as the government of the Donbas region. He was in their custody they are to blame for his death.
Don’t negotiate with terrorists
We’ll do nothing. We have a track record of letting the Russian state kill our citizens with little to no consequence.
