I’m wondering if the public transportation runs all night during the Octoberfest.
I understand that Octoberfest closes at [11:30pm](https://www.oktoberfest.de/en/information/oktoberfest-opening-times). Also, the s-bahn and the u-bahn normally run between [4:15am and 1am.](https://www.introducingmunich.com/s-bahn) But if one wants to go to another bar after Octoberfest, it would be good to know if there is public transportation available. I heard that maybe the s-bahn runs all night, but starts running every 1 hour instead of every 20 minutes.
Im trying to figure out if I should book a place to stay outside of the city center.
