When it changed from 2D to 3D that was good, I was just thinking entropy or like I could make a sock from that ball of yarn. Maybe this is why a line shows information more than a circle aha
It is nice informational though, I think the numbers are important. Is this year exceptional? I guess there have been exceptional years. But is obviously trending up now. Thank you
What about the million years before?
It’s almost like the age of globalisation wasn’t very good for our temperatures globally
Nobody is going to do anything about it so it’s pointless worrying.
Big snow in ’78
Stay inside the lines, please.
Anyone else had “we didn’t start the fire” in their head while looking at this?
Spirograph has come on a lot since I was a child.
Does anyone else read boards.ie? You’re seen as a weirdo there if you believe climate change is real. Even the weather mods seem to think they know better than the unequivocal opinion of pretty much every climate scientist worldwide. Same with the journal commenters, it’s scary.
That video illustrates perfectly the trend of global warming /climate change. I get so sick of people citing single points in time to disprove or mock its existence.
I’d like to see the accurate official details rather than a pretty video with no refreance to where you got you information from. I’m not saying you’re wrong it’s just that we see a lot of stuff like this and expect it to be true. And people believing this to true and accurate worry me.
Well it’s still raining here in kerrry
r/collapse for a glimpse of what’s to come

But also /r/terrifyingasfuck
Can anyone point me to a well written, peer reviewed resource projecting what will actually happen to the planet, and/or ireland, in the next 50 to 100 years? I’m tired of just reading rhetoric on it and actually want to inform myself. Like will Dublin be underwater in 60 years, will Ireland be a barren dessert in 150 years, that kind of thing. I want to see what the actual projected impact is and how worried I should be for my kids.

Oh holy god. also, incredibly beautiful.
Whopper visual.

Hello global warming my old friend
Mad the explosion in the early 40s.
Surely this must’ve been because of WWII?
Mad how you can see how much full on military industrialization caused a spike in temperatures during World War 2.
A question to consider on top of climate change is that is where we are in the universe compared to 100 years ago have an effect on this? Hard to compute I’d imagine. Don’t get me wrong it’s definitely our fault was just thinking bigger (recently got into learning about the universe… Mad stuff)

I like it
Beautiful Viz. What did you use?
except for the times in 1000s-1300s… when it was hot enough to grow vineyards in most of Britain. I agree that the current trend is being accelerated by climate change. but the scale and time frame of earths weather is huge. not 100 years. its in the 1000s that the temp changes in swings. https://edwest.substack.com/p/return-to-real-weather?r=1cd31&s=r&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
