Burrow beach destroyed, we don’t deserve this country

  1. My favourite beach in Dublin. I mean it’s just hopeless at this stage I have no idea where you’d begin to fix this kind of thing.

  2. Will there be any type of voluntary clean up organised for this? I have some time off the next few days and would gladly help out, that’s disgraceful.

They should put up those pictures all around the beach and hopefully make some people think twice before doing again.

  3. Its not surprising. Its the same in our towns and cities, too many people with no respect for their surroundings.

  4. Yeah Malahide beach was bad too. I’m not letting all Irish off the hook, but it’s mainly large groups of tourists doing it

  5. Rather than say “we”, because most people don’t litter like that, let’s just say the ignorant scum who destroyed the beach do not deserve this country.

  6. One of my ultimate “If I had unlimited power for a day” fantasies would be to actually have some kind of enforcement of littering laws and penalties.

Right now you can get fined €150 for dumping and yet I have never heard of anyone ever receiving this. Same for leaving dog poop on the street.

If I had my way i’d have an army of wardens dishing out fines and community service obligations for people until the message was finally gotten.

  7. The guards were directing traffic to it there last week when I passed. Is this another thing that’s not their job to police?

  8. Bin bags cost fuck all, I camped for a week and went home with all my shit in the back of the car to dispose of correctly. Zero effort required. Absolute cunts.

  9. Tourists do that to all beaches. Its the same at beaches in Mayo, locals have to do picks to keep the place tidy. Admittedly it’s never as bad as that but still bad.

  10. I was there on Sunday. It was like a festival. Absolute chaos. Stayed for a few hours with a friend and my son. Had a picnic. Took our rubbish with us when we left. Put it in the bin when we go home.

Dunno how people find this so hard. You managed to bring the stuff there didn’t you?

  11. Ahhh Ireland. Yet another generation of manky scumbag fuckwits shitting all over their own town as usual. Hope they all just die early and get the fuck off the planet.

  12. Absolutely disgraceful they should be fucked off the beach. It’s a shame one of the nicest beaches in Dublin. Sun comes out and all the unemployed knackers go to the beach cause they’ve no jobs.

  13. Fuck that’s bad. I think the only way to tackle it would be to have litter Gardaí solely to police it when required, since people can’t seem to be trusted to act respectfully without being forced into it. Not enough Gardaí for regular policing though not minding sparing some for that.

  14. People in the comments saying “it’s the councils fault for not having enough bins” “the supervalue down the road should take some of the blame for selling these goods..they knew where it would end up”
Fuckin depressing that people are so fuckin thick these days.if you can carry that shit to the beach then you can certainly carry it back FROM the beach

  15. This is the kind of shit thats contributing and causing these rising temperatures and destroying our planet. My blood is boiling. Government need to step in here and make serious penalties for this. How do they do it in other countries??? What the fuck is our problem that we can’t treat our beaches the same???

  16. Absolute scum. You wouldn’t get the same carry on in Spain from them, they’d be sure to clean up on the beach. Disgrace
