A cashless society will prevent any form of protest as they’ll be able to do as they did in Canada and essentially remove people from society by denying them access to money.
Why.
A bank that doesn’t provide one of the main types money 😂 complete joke of a world
If the banks don’t have a physical office then why would people bank with this lot instead of any number of EU banks with better features and apps?
Can do what they like with little competition.
Handed out 213 million to shareholders last year. Not like they’re struggling.
How are people on the welfare, who get cash, are going to pay for bills through direct debit now, if this becomes normal across all banks?
What a shit list. Not even organized by county
The 2 branches closest to me are going cashless.
I wouldn’t mind TBH because I haven’t used the in branch services in years but they are removing ATMs too which is a pain in the bollox.
Oh FFS
This is really going to help in the creation of the Boris border, the plan to create a virtual border wall by tracking everyone in this country. Similar to how Israel tracks Palestinian children.
Why the fuck even have a branch then
Will we be still charged quarterly fees? Ffs
I’ve a penny jar with about €200 worth of coins, can I go to the bank and ask for coin bags and return with them full and lodge it into my account?
What’s the purpose of a bank again ?
What they are doing is essentially turning bank branches in to building sized smartphones with assistants….it’s beyond ridiculous. From the email I got them from them about my branch it doesn’t even sound like there will be any sort of cash kept on site?
Athy, Co. Carlow. Get te fuck.
Prepping people for the switch to digital euro
When Bank of Ireland did this it also meant that they were unable to do anything without a debit card and pin
So if your card breaks, or is lost, you’re out of luck and have to call the call centre.
This just goes to show that we should double down with An Post financial services. Private companies cannot be trusted to accommodate the vulnerable in society and if cash is a necessity for those people the state should provide.
It’s all about control. This move by AIB will lead to digital currency control and a social credit score. The globalists will benefit. But not us schmucks.
Bunq are soon going to have easier access to cash services than AIB. That’s a sorry state for AIB to be in.
Ffs. I’m not with them, but where the hell is my mother supposed to go now, All 3 within a reasonable distance going cashless.
