Mix milk with the bag and then keep mixing it until you burn it, now look at what you’ve done, you’re a failure
Oh shit.
.5 liter of cold milk
Pour milk into pot and on medium low heat, leave about a cup/glass of milk in the measuring cup
Pour budyn mix into cup and stir well
When milk reaches a boil, pour in the budyn mix, stir well until it reaches a thick consistency
Take off heat, add sugar to taste and serve
That’s all from memory. Please don’t hurt me
Jaki jest “500ml” po angielsku 😭😭😭
You need the budyń powder, milk and MAYBE sugar (unless the budyń is SŁODZONY or Z CUKREM, check the bag. If “nie słodzony” or “bez cukru” add 1-2 Tbsp of sugar to the powder – basically “to taste” but remember you can add more later if you’ll decide you need some, but you can’t take it out once it’s mixed in 😉)
Also, some brands have “duży budyń”, so verify the amount of milk – regular is 500ml, duży 750ml I believe
-Measure 2 cups of milk, heat up 1.5c in a small pot, reserve about. 0.5c (doesn’t have to be exact) to prepare the powder.
-Mix the powder (and sugar if needed) into the milk you put aside – make sure you have no clumps. Give it another stir just before pouring in, just to be safe.
-once the milk in the pot is hot, maybe even a rolling boil, add the mix, start stirring until budyń thickens nicely (should happen fairly quickly, don’t overthink it)
-pour into bowls when still hot and let it cool down.
If you like the “skin” (gooier top) just wait a bit, if you would rather avoid it, you can cover the bowl when cooling budyń down and it won’t form.
-put the pot straight into the sink (or even better wash it!) and fill with water, because noone likes to wash crusty pots 😅
You can serve budyń with fruit and thick fruit “juice”(syrup) if you’d like too..
Made me laugh uncontrollably

Here’s a traditional true Polish budyń recipe my family used for years:
Pour milk into a pot.
Boil until it wykipi and upierdoli całą kuchnie.
Scream “Kurwa pierdole ten budyń jebany” while throwing the burnt pot against the wall.
Kisiel is easier done.
Pour the powder into a big, tall ceramic mug (2 cups capacity, preferably). Add sugar.
Boil the water. Pour the boiling water into the mug.
Mix the sh.t out of it for about a minute. Keep stirring vigorously like it owns you money. All you need to do is to stir so good that no clumps are formed between a powder and a boiling water.
You have earned your snack. Sit down. Enjoy!

Bycz, pliz. I’ve translated excerpa for fringe bachelor’s thesis of students from various Pipidówa Mniejsza and absolutely ridiculous specialisations.
Give me something harder than a Catholic priest in front of kindergarten kids or it’s not a challenge.
Edited: excerpts not expects. XD Bloody NYC subway and its bumps.
Yeet some hot milk into your throat, snort the powder and headbang moshpit style for 2-3 minutes or until unconscious
Lol TIL że w polskim puding jest bUdYń
Make the budyń and then blatantly lie to your kids that they have to wait AN HOUR until it’s ready and they can eat it. Courtesy of my mother.
I moved to Poland 4 years ago, and when I started my University study in English, there were some optional Polish language courses that I decided to take.
Our very first homework was to cook budyn at home. I never attended it since then.
You gave me laughs, thanks 😀
