Same guy who always calls out your name? Fuck it, it must be boring there. Anything to break the monotony.
Not sure if it’s the same lad but an American cousin of mine was coming to my house via cork airport from Paris, man at passport control asked where he was going, when he said my hometown, he proceeded to ask who he was staying with and told him to say hi to my parents because he knew them
Way back when, I was flying back in from Paris with my brother and his GF, visiting from Canada. We were stood in line waiting to come back in – i go up with my passport – welcomed home by himself.
My brother goes up alone – he beckons up my now Sister in law and asks in a very serious tone if she knows him (my brother). She..being used to US and Canadian immigration was all nervous – she stutters and says yes he’s my boyfriend – all he says is “well act like it lad and at least enter the country together” He then welcomes her “home”.
