Good. Heathrow should fix their issues and hire more staff.
As I understand it the flights are being cut simply due to the fact that Heathrow doesn’t have the capacity to handle the number of people they’re going to bring in, which honestly seems pretty sensible.
I’m not going to cry over airlines that are overselling themselves in complete ignorance of local capacity, just so they can make as much money as possible before the inevitable climate change restrictions hit.
I hope Emirates likes being denied permission to fly, or land.
Clearly some management and logistical incompetence at heathrow. But the board will get higher bonus and other goodies. Fuck it!
One source of the problems is the chairman of Heathrow being the same Tory peer made “PPE tsar” by Boris, who wasted millions on unsafe and unusable tat. Bit worrying that national infrastructure is in such clueless hands.
Perfectly reasonable stance from Emirates to be honest. This isn’t their mess to clean up and it certainly isn’t their customers’ problem to clean up either.
Heathrow shit the bed – they need to own it and fix it without breaching their contracts with airlines.
LHR can pay for all the cancellations and compensation then.
I see this shit so often in work & the news and it tires me out. Companies causing problems because of their own incompetence expecting other people to take the hit.
