What a confusing table. I’m 100% sure that not 100% of buses in NL are zero emission.
Note: No tail pipe emissions is not zero emissions. Needs better headline.
Trams>buses anyway. I know trams aren’t viable everywhere and everytime but if there is option I would always choose tram.
not included troleybuses makes not much sense.
You win this time Alankomaat.
Love, Finland.
Hope UK sees improvements soon, they are consulting on the end date for diesel busses between 2025 and 2032).
Traffic is our biggest pollution source of greenhouse gas (33%) Vs electricity that is now 20%.
Last year the government provided £3bn in funding for a new bus strategy (busses, infrastructure, lanes, fare reductions, simplifying fares). 2020 had a target of 4,000 electric or hydrogen busses this parliament. March had added 1,000 for £200m so on track at least.
They seem to be supporting hydrogen more as well, doubling production target and helping fund hydrogen battery factories.
