Global extinction threat may be much higher than previously thought

  1. Bullshit title… All it said is that scientists estimate about 30% of living species have gone extinct since 1500, which is higher than the estimate of 12.5% previously thought.

    The point of natural selection is that many species go extinct over time and new species arise, so extrapolating a “global extinction threat” from this finding is nothing more than clickbait

  2. i think if dinosaurs had a space program 66 million years ago they could have likely stopped that asteroid. 200 million years before then, the permian extinction event was due to super volcanoes erupting for hundreds or thousands of years…now we’re burning dinosaur matter and making our own extinction…the dinosaurs started it. eat kfc and less cows to help climate change.
