[There is project Gaia-x](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAIA-X), however as I remember at some point they brought (or contemplated to bring) Microsoft on board which makes the whole project moot.
I’m hoping for proper progress for european data sovereignty in the near future. I already ditched american (and chinese) cloud providers for german ones.
