It’s a bad site, overall, but no excuse for not accepting accented characters on a modern site.
Saying that; our country has officially refused to use fadas, in people’s names, so can’t expect large indigenous supermarkets to bother either
Try removing the space and use an apostrophe see if you have any more success
That’s just a random string of letters.
Is it not traditional to put an apostrophe? I always thought there’s an apostrophe
I dont get it, the C is invalid? Or is it in about the space
Avoid Dunnes if at all possible, they are notoriously shite employers.
Maybe it’s the space?
Try putting a hyphen between the Ó and the rest of your name
Revenue’s official website won’t accept my legal name (from my bank account, so I can’t do anything to shorten it) because it’s over 18 characters long. What the fuck
I have an apostrophe in my Irish surname, not yet met a site that can handle it.
Constantly have to remove fadas and the apostrophe from my name… if the site is international it doesn’t bother me but for Irish companies I do find it annoying.
Same with Irish surnames in email.
Lots of sites don’t accept the fada in my address
Systems — and the people that build them — that don’t support diacritic marks need to be yeeted into the sun.
What was their tagline a few years ago?

Site happily accepts O but not Ó
Poor validation just.

I’m praying for you the next time you’re on a train with a Yank.
I have the same issue. Shocking really, but hardly surprising considering the general apathy of the government itself.
