Believe it or not, Latvians are also struggling.
We should all try to help this people the best as we can. I own a flat I’m trying to renovate right now. It is in awful condition, but as soon as it’s ready I’ll provide it to Ukranian refugees for free.
Our family is struggling right now, because I’m a self employed fabricator and things in the metal industry aren’t going so well since the war has started. But that’s nothing in comparison to what these people have to go through.
What I want to say to you my fellow citizens is that if you have any possibility to help in any kind of way please don’t hesitate to act. These people need our help.
tik dzirdu no radiem, ka tie ukraini, kas piesakas darbos, viniem maksa stipri mazak, ka parejiem. sitadiem prieksniekiem pa pakausi vajag.
Guess what, many Latvians are not in better shape too. How many elderly folks are barely able to make the ends meet? How many families have single parent or parents/kids with disabilities and are struggling to get from paycheck to paycheck? How can such people take in a stranger from Ukraine if their lives are bad enough for themselves? Soon the government will stop supporting the immigrants and this burden will be left on the shoulders of the already struggling nation…
