Germany seems to be changing the requirement to be fully vaccinated to having three shots on October 1. I received a single dose vaccine for my vaccine and later got a single dose booster, for two total shots.
[Here](https://www.bundesregierung.de/breg-de/themen/coronavirus/coronavirus-vaccination-faq-1959802) is says,
“Two vaccination doses are necessary for to obtain full vaccination protection – as stipulated in § 22a of the Infection Protection Act – **even for those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for their first vaccination**… **Different rules will apply from 1 October 2022. Three vaccinations will be necessary**.”
I assume it means that I would need another booster to be fully vaccinated after this date, but it doesn’t specify so I wonder if anyone knew for certain about this, like if there was an exception for single dose vaccines after the rule change.

you’ll need another booster shot. the information can be found [here](https://www.bundesgesundheitsministerium.de/coronavirus/faq-covid-19-impfung.html):
“Wie viele Impfungen sind notwendig, um als „vollständig geimpft“ zu gelten?
Ab dem 1. Oktober 2022 ist zusätzlich eine Auffrischimpfung (also eine 3. Impfung) erforderlich, um als „vollständig geimpft“ zu gelten. In den oben aufgelisteten Fällen sind
dann entsprechend zwei Einzelimpfungen ausreichend.”
there are exceptions when you got covid though:
a) when you got covid before your first vaccine and can prove it through a german, english, french, spanish or italian official (digital) document stating you have antibodies
b) when you got covid before your first vaccine and can prove it with a pcr or poc-pcr test document
c) when you got covid after your first vaccine and can prove it via pcr/poc-pcr.
in these exceptions, you are safe as far as i understand, because you got two vaccines and a covid infection and wouldn’t need a third shot.
