Didn’t the EU say the other day that Taiwan should be unified back into China?
Pick one.
China has been open about their plans for Taiwan for years, and they have a very public military timeline which is only getting closer.
Yeah that’s not going to be possible. Taiwan is china’s red line if there ever was one
Well, yeah, they still think they still run China, like in the good old days of the Opium Wars.
The EU should hedge their bets on this issue. Unlike the US, they have no security commitments nor influence/force projection in the region. No reason to blindly follow the US here.
That’s like saying we want good ties with Russia but also support Ukraine. It’s one or the other mate.
The UK will never have good relations with the Chinese, because since the Ukrainian invasion and the aggressive British response to it, the Chinese will only be at unease with regards to the UK vis-a-vis the eventual invasion of Taiwan. The Brits have proven themselves to be a major horsefly.
