I’m just afraid for the Iranian opposition in Belgium. In the 80’s and 90’s there were assassinations by the Iranian government in various European states towards the Iranian opposition, now the FBI even deems Western Europe unsafe for some major opposition figures to be the target for assassination and/or kidnapping. I’m just afraid that something will happen to these fighters for freedom, justice and democracy where the Belgian government can’t fully protect them anymore. The protection they deserve as inhabitants of our country. Difficult situation where we are in, because my heart also feels for the people in prison right now.
