Recently, I discovered that, after subscribing to the (absolutely shitty) ePost application from Klara Business AG that was supposed to scan my post mail and provide an application to read it, my personal data appeared on their website: [https://www.klara-regional.ch/de/orte](https://www.klara-regional.ch/de/orte)
My ePost account was closed a very long time ago, and even though they say they never use your data and delete everything, they didn’t. I sent them an email to ask them to remove everything. Let’s see how it goes.
Do some of you have experience with this business? I still can’t believe Post AG affiliate themselves with that kind of company.

Affiliate?
They have even bought the whole company (Klara Business AG) in 2020 😉
Ah yes, and then when you refuse this kind of “service” you get called brontosaur by the boomers around you, and to get on with the new times.
Till some malicious soul breaches all that data, makes criminal use of it, and then the same people complain that you didn’t help find “constructive” solutions to prevent such breaches when you point out that this fraudulent data handling was a major problem in the first place.
I asked them to delete all my data 10 days ago. They sent me an email where i needed to confirm. I did immediately.
Today i recieved a similar email again where i need to confirm do delete all my data.
I tried to use their service to scan my post as well. But they failed to activate it due to a technical issue. They were not able to resolve the problem. A few months later they wanted to charge me for an archiving service. They have a phone number where they just have a message that says that you should write an email because they can react fast. They took a week to answer my tickets.
After i complained they answered me as if everything was my fault. I litterally have several tickets and screenshots. In the end of the email they wrote: “I am thus a bit surprised by your message and do not understand your anger.”
They failed to send me an invoice by email and after months they finally sent it by mail. Like it was a new option for them. Beauty of the mail, no payement information was provided next to the amount. I had to call them. Will ask to remove my details tomorrow. Thanks!
Wow that’s a gold mine of personal data for scams.
What I have learnt in life so far is that if a company buys or takes over a shity company often it is for individual/personal interests (e.g. Bereicherung)
Do class actions exist in Switzerland? There are plenty of stories of companies, notably real estate agencies, who are super negligent with personal data. Would be interesting to know what the legal options are when there are multiple victims.
They write in their TOS:
>5. Support – During office hours, users can access support by telephone and
online. E-mail support is also available outside of office hours.
Now try to call them at heir number 041 329 07 00. All you can hear is “write us an email”.
So they don’t even comply with their own TOS. What a lousy company!
I only see some company infos on the link you shared? Is that what you mean? Am I missing something?
Not really related, but if you want to find a great data friendly alternative:
I can really recommend to look into peax.ch They are a small startup with their own scanning centre and recently they work also with Post that they forward the letters automatically. Also they have a create support team. I am using it since it first launch and it became a great product. Also paying my bills directly over their portal.
Just putting this out there, in case you really suspect a data privacy breach (I don’t know the service, not sure what’s in their TOS and what all one has to agree to when signing up), the Eidgenössischer Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragter (EDÖB) may be very much interested in this issue.
