On [bahn.de](https://bahn.de), I see a way of going to Maastricht from Düsseldorf by taking two regional trains (RE 4 till Herzogenrath, and then RE 18 from there). Is this trip covered under the 9-Euro ticket?

I think the Aachen to Maastricht train does not come under the €9 ticket rules
For the first train yes, for the second train no, since the ticket isn’t valid in the Netherlands.
Only for the German part of the trip. Travel outside of Germany is covered by the 9 euro ticket only in a couple instances
