A possible solution to firework ban for Swiss day?

  1. I think that’ll be nice but you underestimate the Swiss obsession with fireworks. Blowing things up with a bang and smoke is just seen as a basic human right in this country and I‘m excited to see how „well“ the ban is going to work.

  2. Fuck no. It’s boring, it’s ugly and it’s only for the rich cities.

What with all the rural towns and villages and also just families who want to enjoy a good time?

Having drones just for that would create way too much waste. Fireworks are nice and cost effective.

  3. Hey the drone show for the jubilee with matching music was great. Lots of counties use drones/laser shows in the NYE displays. You could laser linked across the cantons with online concert people playing the same one on their phones or outdoor screens etc. expensive yes but can be used again good fireworks are expensive and used once. We have the outdoor screens for the football games can we not recycle them.

  4. No it’s not.
The batteries in these also create a large amount of waste – just not in CH.
I really dislike all fake eco solutions that move the pollution into other regions.

If it’s dry just don’t light firework.. common sense – worked great in all the years before.
