Some sheep stranded by the tide on Dorinish, Clew Bay this morning.

  1. **MORE INFO**

With the tide being where it was, the sheep must have been stranded during the night and into the morning. They get their hydration from the dew on the grass on the island to the left in the pic (to the right it’s just rocks and cormorants). This means on the hottest day of the year so far they haven’t had their morning drink.

Dorinish was owned by John Lennon from 1967 until his death in 1980. Inspired by his guru Maharishi Mahesh who led retreats in Clew Bay he bought the islands as a getaway place but his plans never came to fruition.

  2. Oh my Lord. I’m told sheep are among the more stupid things. But I can’t look their silly heads without smiling! Their noises are so funny. I hope they’ll be safe. Don’t wander near the water, sheep!
