Cyprus signs MoU with Amazon to modernize state IT

1. The state is denying my dad’s pension so I was helping him get a legal letter ready. The letter itself is 2 pages. I was informed by the solicitor that we shouldn’t print the letter back-to-back but rather on 2 separate pages because government workers are stupid and will probably miss the second page.

   So in light of that, how the fuck are they going to train that particular workforce in all matters IT and cloud?

2. So… a massive infrastructure upgrade which entails training a metric ton of people from setup/maintenance all the way to end users to keep it running, physical space and relevant people to take care of that, months to implement at best, will probably end up disrupting an already ailing system to the point where nothing gets done properly and things fall through the cracks, our people half-assing it cause they have job security, maybe 10% of the workforce learns enough to be useful cause they care, then we all complain that there was zero net benefit but our tax money is already down the drain.

   Did I leave anything out?

3. Bullshit. There are a lot of cabable cypriot companies screeming to the government to create a cluster that will create a data center for Cypeua but NOOOOO we are going to sign an MoU (which doesnt really mean amything) with Amazon UwU
