That’s going to knock off a few points for support for independence. Most people in Scotland do not want a change in currency and this is a double edge sword for the nationalists. Although it’s good to see them actually back a plan that isn’t “we’ll use the pound until we join the EU” (which isn’t feasible considering the UK government would not agree to it).
Shouldn’t it be called the Scottish euro, instead of the Scottish pound?
I thought the SNP were waiting for Covid to be over before pushing for independence?
I’m old enough to remember when changing currencies was hard. Now, many of these issues sound archaic.
Let’s get independent from UK and then give our independence away to the EU…
