The cap should be imposed next year as well, if they fail at Easter. Or it should be put in place and then only lifted if they prove they can manage.
Though part of the issue is the Borders Agency. Could not cope with Easter even though the date of Easter 2022 was fixed in 1753.
Is this really due to staff shortage? Can’t they just increase salaries on offer and pass the price onto the air fares?
Global Britain they said….
They won’t raise wages. You make more at tesco
Heathrow should be compensating passengers for cancellations/delays due to the airport’s fault. Why didn’t they warn airlines/people that they won’t be able to cope?
so they don’t want to reduce flights but reduce the number of tickets airlines are selling.
so in effect they don’t want their margins hit but airlines to reduce their margin.
Can’t see it getting any better next year… A lot of the staff have left and even with some companies offering a sort of golden handshake they are still struggling to recruit, I know a few cabin staff and they are looking to leave ASAP because of the abuse they are getting day in and day out from people, money might help them stay but I think a most of them are just sick and tired of being treated like shite.
A lot of people that worked for airlines had their pay cut after lockdown and quelle surprise there’s now a staff shortage.
Needing help. My flight hasn’t been canceled for tomorrow. With the 100,000 passenger cap, does this mean I need to go to the airport super early in the morning to catch my flight? To make sure I can catch my flight? Earlier than the recommended 4hours ahead of time?
