  1. Bunch of fanny’s, Some people know when enough is enough, it’s not the cannabis you become addicted to you bunch of fuds, it’s the FEELING.

You try looking a 8 year old Boy/Girl in the eyes who suffers from epilepsy and cannabis is the only thing that helps with the fitting and tell them “we are going to try and stop the very thing that makes you live a good life”.

Grow the fuck up, stop trying to control people, we aren’t your sheep 🖕

  2. Youd think these cunts would have sympathy for MS sufferers.

Ireland was a world leader in health when we introduced a world’s first smoking ban.

Now we have this shit show for a natural plant with proven medical benefits

  3. It’s mad to think that anyone with good reason can get a license for a firearm but people who are literally dying can’t get a license for a proven medicine.

  4. The money quote:

    >Dr Garrett McGovern, a GP specialising in addiction medicine, said last week that he has encountered patients who are sent to him because they were found with a small amount of a drug such as cannabis, even if they have no addiction whatsoever.

    >He described this as a ‘box-ticking’ exercise as part of their probation.

It is such a blatantly obvious self perpetuating racket, but because Irish reporters are little more than glorified stenographers we always end up being fed the story about “THOUSANDS SEEK TREATMENT FOR CANNABIS ADDICTION” with this very important bit of context nowhere to be seen. A fucking joke of a country.

  5. 100% of the problems the doctors from the CRA site as examples and statistics came from unregulated prohibition. And all those problems are getting worse. They know this but are lobbying the government in a very powerful manner to act against the best interest of our society and to continue the same policies. If they were to be investigated thoroughly it’s almost guaranteed they are being paid by some organisations to do so. It’s hard to believe they are all that thick but then able to access government and shape policy in private.

As I said before can’t wait for the Primetime Special in a decade or two when they expose whatever exact scandal is unfolding here.

  6. Can anyone find the names of these doctors and psychiatrists? I can’t and I think it would be important for the population to know these things about these practitioners and “clinicians”, which is a vague term which could mean it’s an old nurse or a speech adn language therapist. I think “advanced healthcare assistants”, because there are no nurses now, even include themselves as clinicians now.

ETA, the head of psychiatry doesn’t seem to like that the efficacy of SSRIs have been found to be way lower than originally though and that many psychiatric prescriptions cause a plethora of health defects, including diabetes and parkinson’s, just to name a few… and cannabis doesn’t do any of these things, but we definitely have cannabanoid receptors. Psychiatrists are such scam artists.

  7. Maybe, just maybe Fine Gael’s system of bribery at every level is not ideal.

These stories need to be followed with “All parties involved have been arrested and are awaiting trial”.

  8. These pricks are as anachronistic and injurious to our collective national health and wealth as the Catholic Church. While I may be something of a radical, I think we should burn every RC church to the ground, run every priest out of the country at the point of a bayonet, and nationalise every square inch of their land and use it to grow cannabis which should be distributed gratis to the population to ease their pain and suffering. And we can use the plants to make rope. It’s fierce strong stuff. More soberly: **never vote for any fool who subscribes to this shite.**

  9. I was prescribed Oxynorm for severe back pain I felt so sick and had a bad reaction that I stopped taking them on day 2.

A friend suggested cannabis and I laughed him off saying it cures all illnesses but as the months went on I asked my friend one night could i try it. I genuinely didn’t think it would do anything for my pain or help me get any sleep ( I usually struggle to get 4hrs sleep a night) I had genuine pain relief for the first time in 5 years and was getting 8-10hrs sleep each night.

I can’t fathom how oxynorm was excuse the pun the norm but cannabis was in the eyes of the public myself included was classed as a bad drug
