Tbf the monthly price of purpose built student accommodation usually includes all utilities so it puts it not that much more expensive than private accommodation in Cork at the moment
When the government block books-out all other temporary accommodation for refugees from the war, guarantees full occupancy and pays €200/night/room, there’s a knock-on impact in the rest of the housing market, including short stay, long stay, student, etc.
€250 a week isn’t that bad, most students do work part time and all summer long and many also avail of grants.
We they have plenty for the bars and their house parties every weekend.
God imagine that!
Who could of forseen such circumstances?
