How does one taste a horse blanket? You blitz it up with some vodka ,or?
Who describes flavors like that..
“Hm, this wine does really taste like wall paint, slight hint of ikea bookcase too”
I get this comment.
Also with old Barolos you get hints of damp rags and stables, truffle also has a hint of these earthy tones.
Its NOT a bad quality!
it is not unexpected that the kind of person that doesn’t like orval would also try to eat a horse blanket in their confusion
Some yeast strains produce weird flavours that only work in some beers, and these flavours get equally weird names like horse blanket, wet dog, dirt or rust. It’s kinda a beer snob thing.
Because brettanomysus can give off horse blanket/stable esters. Source: am a zythologist.
