Turning off lights will make no noticable difference, especially now most are LED. The thing which would make the most difference would be subsidized home insulation. Yes, that’s right, the Green Homes initiative which Sunak scrapped in his last budget.

These kind of warnings are a terrible sign. In 2006-7 when I was in South Africa the same warnings came through and since then to this current day there are near constant planned black outs because of “energy shortage” however that was an excuse for corruption.
