  1. Not a huge fan of his podcast, gets a bit repetitive is all, but seems like a sound guy. And these tunes were funny back in the day.

Does a good interview with Adam Buxton on his podcast.

  2. I love the prank calls from before they were famous… “she threw a pear at my neck and it left a bruise that looked like a hickey”

  3. The authentic Limerick accent and dress sense makes it for me. The way he says fuckin makes me happy.

Also my eldest daughter is called Roisin and I’d like to think I’ll rip the arm off and beat the first snotty, spotty hormonal young fella who appears at my door looking to impregnate her while this plays in the back ground.

  4. They had some.great songs, I like his singing voice too. Very recognisable, which is more important that being “good”. Thanks for the laughs lads.

  5. Aside from the craic being had in the lyrics, their songs were always pretty well put together. The boys knew their music.

  6. Does anyone else think Bags of Glue was their quintessential song? Like before they got national attention it was what would bring down the house in T’rooms or Dolans

  7. They released 2 new tracks a year or so ago, that’s the last we heard from them together. Look up ‘Waiting’ and ‘Bertie Ahern’ on YouTube!

  8. Blind boy is of course a clever and articulate speaker but the true genius of the Rubber bandits came from the mad traveller physique and falsetto limerick madness of Mr Chrome.

    Fight me.
