Hello people! My colleague tried to post on your sub, but he couldn’t because he had no comment karma, and he is still new to reddit. Would you be able to answer his question? Thanks a lot!

Write to Ministry of Health for adequate information. The biggest issue will be slovenian language requirements.
Language requirement is needed (C1) as far as I know. You would get employment very fast as there is a shortage of nurses, and qualified as that.
Do you have a university degree or high school?
You would need to check if they acknowledge it here as Serbia is not EU.
They pay is below 1.000€ base if I’m not mistaken. Overtime, holidays etc. is extra.
I strongly suggest to look at Austria or further north as the pay is muuuch higher and working conditions are waaay better.
Slovenian healthcare is in a crisis and all staff are overworked and underpayed and under appreciated. If I were you I would look elsewhere.
Ja mislim da u Splošnoj bolnišnici Celje kao praktikant ne trebaš znati perfekt slovenski i da su tražili radnike jedno vrijeme.
Tbh he won’t have that many problems learning Slovene (b2/c1) if he’s not a complete idiot for languages. Many Serbs never learned fluent Slovene because they are packed in small homogeneous serbian groups and they don’t even speak Slovene. So give your friend an advice to avoid comfort zone (eg hanging out only with Serbs) and he’ll get the language in no time. Also, us Slovenes really appreciate when we hear someone actually speaking Slovene.

This is association for nurses and other non-physicians medical members. I’d advise him to start here first. Obtain all the necessary information and go from that point on.
Srečno 🙂
Zamisli slovencom pisati na englezskom lol.
Ili obrnuto.
