Domestic abusers barred from cross-examining victims in family and civil courts

  1. Should be pointed out this only applies to litigants in person, who will then be given a legal representative for that particular task.

    It should also be pointed out that a number of courts were already doing this before this announcement was made.

  2. It’s a shame that so many cases like this fall apart before they even reach the courts due to fear of intimidation or reprisal from the abuser. Now more needs to be done to make sure people feel safe in bringing their abuser to account in the first place.
