It would be a french tradition at this point to accept the offer of a shady developping country for military equipments but for oil is pretty weird.
On the other hand, France and Turkey are antagonist in eastern Mediterrannean and Libya, so it would make sense even if there is a high risk of some parts of the tech ending in Iranian hands.
