High Representative Christian Schmidt was verbally attacked by an organized “group of citizens” at Tuzla International Airport yesterday, Croatian Media Service has learned.
Schmit previously landed at the Tuzla airport from Nuremberg, Germany. With the assistance of police officers from the BiH Border Police and the PU Živinica, the situation was brought under control.
This information was confirmed to HMS by Svevlad Hoffmann, advisor to the Director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Hoffmann told HMS that the director of the BiH Border Police, Zoran Galić, ordered an internal investigation to be conducted by the Office for Professional Standards and Internal Control of the BiH GP in order to determine whether there were any omissions in securing Schmidt, a person under international legal protection.
“It is not clear how a group of citizens entered the area of the International Airport in Tuzla without prior notice,” said Hoffmann and explained that it will be determined whether there were any failures in the security of high-ranking representatives.
Also, Hoffmann adds that it is necessary to determine whether there are elements of a criminal offense because Schmidt’s freedom of movement was limited at a certain moment, which is specifically defined by Article 192 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Whoever imprisons a person under international legal protection, keeps him imprisoned or otherwise deprives or restricts his freedom of movement, with the aim of forcing him or another person to perform or not perform something, or who commits any other violence towards or against a person under international legal protection of his freedom, or attacks his official premises, private accommodation or means of transport, and such an attack could threaten his personality or freedom, shall be punished by a prison sentence of at least three years”, it is stated in Article 192 of the CC of BiH.
It remains to be seen whether the BiH Prosecutor’s Office will react to this and formally initiate criminal proceedings.

yeah sure.
Spreading fake news and lies. The only attack here is schovinist and nationaliats croat who wants Mr Schmit to impose faschist apartheid law which divide the nation more.
“verbally attacked” lol
Croatia: Hey, Bosniaks it is not fair that you can overvote Croats and choose their representatives they don’t agree with.
Europe: Yea, we agree that that doesn’t sound fair.
Bosniaks: How dare you to ask us to remove laws which we take advantage of!
The west turning a blind eye to violence and threats of violence yet again only to be surprised when things escalate somewhere in the next 10/15 years, classic.
Oooooh, this comment thread is going to be spicy.
But, to ask Bosniaks, what is so controversial about this law? I can see the surface part; to prevent discrimination against Ctoats, but I’d like a genuine input.
“verbally attacked” lol
