So apparently Sky News is still going to bat for this ridiculous excuse of a government.
1400 came over the channel between 11th and 17th of this month.
Yes, but for it to be an effective deterrent the migrants would need to be aware of the policy. I have a feeling most will have no clue about it.

Oh, the French government are admitting it might have an impact. Do we think this is why they are fucking us over at the ports.
It didn’t work last year so they are trying extra hard this year.
Sky did the same thing when the policy was announced. Went to Iraq, immediately found a smuggler (quite a serious crime in Iraq!) who was definitely totally absolutely legit, who just happened to repeat all the exact same lines as the UK government.
I believe it now as much as I did then. I think they have found someone willing to take their money to give interviews and they aren’t too interested in looking too closely at the reality of that person’s life.
