This map also does not explain if we’re talking about 95 octane fuel or something else. In US they have 89 octane but it’s because they have different standards.
I live in Finland 😔
Petrol costs 1,81€ per litre here. 95 octane.
And it’s need to be like that, otherwise they would come to give us some freedom
My God Europe. My condolences to your wallets. Feel like an ass for complaining about our prices now.
We’re pretty much in the black zone here, good thing i felt in love with my bike 😀

Filled up yesterday in Fort Worth,TX for 3.559/gal (no discounts). Prices have been coming down steadily this month.
Hope they come me down for you guys across the pond soon too.
Can confirm, I’m in Spain (with and without the S)
Imagine the increase of European purchasing power if oil prices were as low as the US.
It would save me €/$300 a month.
As I wrote [in the original post](https://old.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/w60ema/average_cost_of_basic_gasoline_across_the_ue_and/), the cost of fuel in Hungary is $1.23 per liter, or $4.65 per gallon, which puts Hungary into a green square. It’s also the cheapest in Europe.
