Greece denies extradition of one of the most corrupt EU politicians of the last 30 years, because the jail conditions in the country he robbed for years are not good enough for him

  1. >The Court of Appeal in Athens rejected Romania’s request for the extradition of Sorin Oprescu, **who is free** after paying a bail of 5,000 euros.

    >**Sorin Oprescu would not benefit** from decent conditions in prisons in Romania

    Big L for Greece.

  2. Romania. I love you.

I wander if I went and robbed Greece for 20 years then return to Romania just before the verdict would I get the same treatment?

    I’m laughing my ass off.

How much you wanna bet he will do some Greece embezzlment and move to a different country before the verdict? Taking bets.

  3. To add a bit to this scum’s background. He got caught like a common outlaw in Athens while evading law, so he did not hand himself in or anything. His initial arrest in Romania, was when he got caught on by Police with some €30k cash , he had just received for some favouritism. He was also for many years one of the main figures in Romania’s public health system, and now he says he won’t receive the right treatment for his conditions while jailed there.
