This poll makes no sense on many other ways, too. Macron just won the elections in France with a 50/50 ballot against Le Pen, and 62% of population disapproves of him? I am sure the polls behind are shadily extrapolated, at best.

The federal council has rarely been this dysfunctional as it is right now:
– SP/PS freaking out because they know they will lose more votes in a year, which will make the other parties question their legitimacy of two seats in the FC.
– FDP/PLR actively fighting each other. Cassis and Keller-Sutter know that the Greens will most likely do well next time around and that they will lose a few seats in parliament. This means that one of the two needs to go. Both want to stay so they are almost sabotaging each other in order to make the other look bad. This will be a great shitshow to watch.
– SVP/UDC have one man who is probably already senile while the other is the most forgettable member of the FC in the last 40 years or so. Their party won’t do much better next time since they have gone full conspiracy nutjob. Oh yeah, did I mention that their main topics „EU bad“ and „foreigner bad“ as well as „climate change hoax“ are not popular right now?
– And then we have the CVP, the ugly tumor of the FC. Amherd sure knows how to say fuck you to democracy and simply push through the whole fighter jet acquisition. Pros for not buying the French Rafale, arguably the superior fighter jet and pissing off Europe even more. I mean there isn’t like an important contract with the EU that needs to be renegotiated and it’s not like the EU is already pissed that the FC is indecisive and slow to begin with. Some people might say that she is trying to sabotage Cassis so that her party fares better next fall.
Overall: I strongly dislike all of the members of the FC. I also hope that the greens and green liberals will do good next year and kick the current FC in the butt for being so weak and inefficient.
