Moien,
Per [https://www.sustainable-bus.com/electric-bus/10-volvo-electric-buses-in-luxembourg-city/](https://www.sustainable-bus.com/electric-bus/10-volvo-electric-buses-in-luxembourg-city/), there are at least 70 electric buses (as of 2020). Does anybody know approximate range of the electric bus and charging time? I read somewhere it to be around 150 km with no info on the charging time. It appears they operate just on two routes for some reason.
Based on the weather pattern, a solar panel on the roof may be useful too 🙂
Merci

Only on two routes? I might be wrong but I think I see them almost everywhere in and around the capital
The roof with solar panels wouldn’t be enough to charge the bus. Moreover, shadows, weather, etc. would make it unpredictable.
I know that the bus stop (probably start/end of line) Cents, Waassertuerm has an impressive charging facility. Obviously charging times depend on the method/power. There may be others.
Looking at the recent stats from [vdl](https://www.vdl.lu/en/getting-around/tips-getting-around/accessibility/bus):
> As at 1 October 2021, the Service Autobus (Bus Department) had a fleet of 148 buses, comprising 73 standard buses, 61 articulated buses, 7 midibuses and 7 minibuses. The average age of our fleet is 6.86 years for standard buses, 6.25 years for articulated buses, 9.68 and 7.51 years respectively for midi- and minibuses.
>In terms of eco-friendliness, the fleet has 48 EURO6-powered buses, of which 15 are standard and 32 are articulated (of which 37 are hybrid-electric buses). 87 buses have a EURO5/EEV engine (48 standard, 29 articulated and 7 midibuses). Of the 7 minibuses, 3 are equipped with a EURO4 engine, and 3 with a EURO6 engine
None of those numbers match up! The 10 electric buses seem to have disappeared, although there are lots of hybrids. There are 134 full size buses, but 135 engines in full size buses.
There are several special charging places for busses throughout the country. They look a bit like giant carports with place for 10-12 busses underneath. On the roof are solar panels , I’d say approx 400-500kw per station.
