Said this yesterday -any decent researcher can prove the poking they want to prove.
You will have another researcher come out and disprove this one – but it won’t make the headlines like this one because once a piece of research makes the news they very rarely report the counter studies
it never made any sense. once you get used to more serotonin you’re when you’re started
OP is pushing very hard for this narrative for some reason.
I’ll keep taking my SSRI’s they work.
Use me as the doubt button.
I mean there’s a possibility that it’s not due to low Serotonin, yes. But I wouldn’t completely discount that possibility.
Serotonin is kind of like drug addiction, you get to feel happy when it flows in you and eventually it’s absorbed back into your nervous system.
The more things you do that make you happy then the more you feel. There’s a potential that due to the volume of outputs we now have to our disposal that make us happier we are now getting larger amounts.
With every up there has to come an eventual down, and those downs will get harder with the more serotonin we release.
Consider it chasing the natural dragon.
if at least antidepressants were harmless…more and more people are arising with persistent post SSRI symptoms such as currently incurable Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD)…lives ruined and often by superficial prescriptions! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F56Ox5kt8Ok
“Low serotonin” has always been a highly simplistic explanation given by the medical community to explain the biochemical basis of depression . For many mental illnesses, the clinical models are derived from the mechanism of action of the drugs that treat them (sort of backwards from what you would expect), and most drugs prescribed for depression modulate serotonin in one way or another.
My serotonin is near zero thanks to Mr bishi and Co guzzling the fuck clean out of it 😆

i watched this video a week after it came out and if I ever mentioned this to people who kind of knew the science behind SSRIs they’d call me a conspiracy theorist
