  2. Funny: Making fun of politicians, the church, or some regional particularities (dialects). But you need a lot of knowledge about it (inside baseball).

    Not funny: Being lumped in with Eastern Europeans or Balkans (most consider themselves central Europeans).

  3. Please tell the most offensive jokes you have, spare no one. Incest, pedophilia and alcoholism jokes work well, and make sure you roast the right and the left, politically.

    Plus, racism jokes about non white people are a must, the far right is absolutely full on racist in slovenia so use that to get the laughs from what will most likely be a predominantly politically left crowd. But remember to joke about them (the crowd) too. Maybe do some crowd work as well.

    Plus you have to chip in a neighbor joke of some sort, slovenians love arguing with neighbours.

  6. Lol, when i saw the international setlist for Punc, your surname just popped out and i knew youre gonna be good. Trying to get to know us before the show, just proves me right.

    A lot of slovenes really like dark humor.
    We like to have a laugh at our own expense.
    I think we really appreciate on one hand really intellectual jokes (jokes where you have to know a bit about current events) and on the other hands stupid jokes (dad jokes and puns).
    And yeah like the others said.. if u throw in a joke about our neighbouring countries most people will like it 😉

  7. You could joke about the fact that we’re pretty much clueless about Africa, like we know where Tunisia, Egypt, and Madagaskar are, but the rest… Is a mystery.

    Dark humour is really appreciated here.
    We see ourselves as a bunch of workoholic-alcoholics, who look grumpy, but secretly want to get roasted (just to feel seen).

    Breakfast options here include: coffee, coffee+cigarettes, coffee+weed, coke, cviček (=young red wine, sour as fuck, but cheap), beer+schnapps (travarica or sadjevec), nothing for breakfast.

    If you insult cviček, the whole Dolenjska region will be upset, so please do it. A tried and tested joke about cviček: cviček is the water you use to wash out barrels of actual, real wine with.

    Our regular, everyday jokes are often centered around 1. Sex, 2. Wife-husband dynamics (cuz we’re 19th century as fuck).
