I also have some examples.
1. Using the postal service for things that could be easily done online (e.g. Do you want to create an account on the Deutsch Bahn website to buy a train ticket? Not so fast… Wait a couple of days until you receive a letter with your password).
2. Going out for dinner and being surprised with “We don’t accept credit/debit cards… only cash”.
3. Cleaning and sorting all my plastic garbage according to German standards… so Germany can ship it much more efficiently [to a landfill in Southeast Asia.](https://www.dw.com/en/german-plastic-floods-southeast-asia/a-47204773)
